I work in marketing communications within the UK advertising industry and live in London.
By way of background, I was born in Dubai and grew up in Karachi, which I consider to be home.
In my early twenties, I spent five years in one of the most inspiring university cities in the world when I moved to Oxford in 2005 to study Communication and Media. Oxford is a love affair which will last a lifetime.
Following that I moved to London (in 2010) and managed to get into an industry of my choice (advertising) where I was lucky enough to meet some of the most influential and interesting people in it, and indeed in the UK creative industries as a whole.
A fast paced full time role does mean that I don’t have as much time as I’d like to regularly freelance for lifestyle magazines, hence I post short articles every now and then to keep in touch with my creative writing skills.
The blog covers subjects as diverse as fashion and philosophy, as well as my thoughts on life, love and everything in between.
The underlying theme is a celebration of diversity. London’s one of the most multicultural cities in the world and going forward I’d like to use the virtual community to bridge the gaps in knowledge between various sections of our ethnically diverse population.
